Year End HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well here it is New Year's Eve and I thought I'd get this in before the year closes out. What I want to do is go over my accomplishments for the year and see where I did well and where I was deficient. The year started off slowly in January and February I didn't do much shame on me. But when March rolled around I started using my Saeboflex glove again. This did not last long however due to the frustration of putting the glove on and having to move approximately 300 balls a day. I did this for about two weeks and then stopped. Not a very good start to the new year.

However, also in March, I was contacted by a consulting firm to start working again from home. I am a mainframe computer programmer and I did this job for over 30 years.

And then in May I started working. I was pleased to find that my long-term memory was intact and I remember a lot of the things that I used to do with the software I used to work on. This lasted about three months from May to July. Then I discovered I could not keep up with the hectic pace of working 8 to 10 hours per day. This did allow me to make a little bit of extra money and help pay for my new hearing aids! I am also slowly going deaf.

August, September, October, were slow months for me not doing much rehab work. Again shame on me. But when November rolled around I was ready to start working again especially after starting this blog. I thought that since I was trying to help people exercise and get better I might as well do my exercises and get better myself. So from approximately November 15 when I opened up this blog I have been doing my exercises every day and now I feel much better.

Somewhere in the period from August to November I read something that said if you do something 21 days in a row it becomes a habit and I can attest to that because now I'm in the habit of doing my rehab exercises and I feel bad when I don't do them. So try to do those exercises 21 days in a row and see if you can develop a habit. You won't exactly be jumping for joy about doing your exercises but you will have the strength to do them.

So in closing I would like to say that I want 2015 to be a very productive year. As a matter of fact I signed up for more rehab and I will start in January on a new rehab program.

I hope you all have a very happy and productive new year! Remember try to get in the habit of doing your rehab exercises and in time you will get better don't forget that.
