Start of a New Week

11/24/2014

Today is the start of the week and I finished my exercises for the day. I did one set of my old exercises (for my shoulder and arms). Then I did my mirror box therapy and finished with my shaping exercise. Shaping exercise for today was to pick up coins and besides picking up 150 coins I also pick up 120 checkers. If Picking up money and checkers sounds like fun believe me it's not. But these two exercises will probably be the most help in regaining control of my hand.

Challenging exercises although frustrating are the ones that will help you gain the most. So in order to get better challenge yourself. Remember all exercises are cumulative and the more you do the more they add up.

What an awesome idea! It's great what you are doing..I think the hardest part for others is to know and understand what someone is dealing with when something like this happens. We take so much for granted in our every day living and until you experience an illness or injury that effects you long term..we have to begin all over again and teach ourselves and reprogram if we are lucky..Keep up the good work and don't let that Frigging Stroke hold you back! Xoxo you cuz, from your 63 year old semi retired cousin Mick

Looking forward to reading and I admire you for sharing your story with others (and for many other things over the years).
Great to see you this week.
