Be Happy!

Last Thursday I was leaving my occupational therapy session and I met up with a friend of mine from our stroke survivor group. Rob had a stroke in his early 50s which to me is relatively young. Rob is a very positive person and is constantly striving to make his friends feel better. And because he is positive I like to be around him because he makes me feel positive too. I believe it's a known fact that if you surrounded yourself with positive people you also will tend to be positive!

My point here is that if it is at all possible surround yourself with happy, positive people.
If this is not possible go to the Internet and find websites that stress happy and positive thoughts and ideas. Happiness and positivity are two items that make it possible to be successful in your rehab journey.

Remember BE HAPPY!

Using pictures is excellent, especially the one with the mirror exercise. I have been reading a bit about the brain lately and can believe this works because the brain wants to be fooled to make your body/life better and to make quicker adjustments for you. Hang tough and keep fooling your brain!
